East Coast Riders

Just a video that I finally finished of me and some friends riding. Nate and Andy were visiting so TJ and I showed them around the mountain. Doing all kinds of crazy stuff with out fresh snow...that's when you know were East Coast riders.

Moonlight Riding @ Loveland Pass

Last night I had the opportunity to snowboard at Loveland Pass under the moonlight. The moon was full and closer to the Earth than it has been in 19 years. It was definitely bright and bright enough to drop in on a slop that has no artificial lighting. It was about a 15 minute drive to the top in the pickup truck with about 12 of us. We then proceeded to hike the peak and drop in. Amazingly enough you could actually see most of the terrain. Eyes watering a bit because I didn't have clear lens goggles. It was a bit hard packed at the top and further down got softer. It was a good 20-30 minute run before getting back to the base. It was an excellent experience and I was hoping to capture it on my GoPro video camera but it was too dark for that camera. I did shoot a few photos of the moon rising over the peaks and us strapping in to drop in.
